Women's Center Resources
The Frances Pat Stock Angel Fund was established in honor of Pat Stock as a legacy of the important role she played as a founding member of the UCSB Women's Center. The fund is used to provide small amounts of money to students who are navigating a temporary financial setback (such as a job loss, illness, book fees, bus fare, bicycle or automobile repairs) that undermines their ability to continue the educational goals at UCSB. The fund is administered by the Women's Center. If you are interested in applying for a Frances Pat Stock Angel Fund, please email the Director at kaminski@ucsb.edu.
WiSTEM Mentorship Program: The Women in STEM Mentorship Program is a collaboration between the Women's Center and UCSB Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE). The program aims to create connections and community between undergraduate and graduate students. We welcome undergraduate students who are looking for guidance with navigating higher education, as well as graduate students who are interested in gaining mentoring experience and supporting undergrad women through their experiences in male-dominated fields. To get involved, watch for our application form in fall quarter.

Providing academic accommodations to students with disabilities is a shared responsibility of the campus. Students with disabilities are responsible for ensuring that the Disabled Students Program (DSP) is aware of their disabilities and for providing DSP with appropriate documentation. DSP is located at 2120 Student Resource Building and serves as the campus liaison regarding issues and regulations related to students with disabilities. The DSP staff works in an advisory capacity with a variety of campus departments to ensure that equal access is provided to all disabled students.
Feminist Studies is an interdisciplinary field that produces cutting-edge research and fosters innovative teaching. The subject matter of feminist studies is more than women: research and teaching focus on the ways that relations of gender, intersecting with race, class, ethnicity, sexuality, nation, ability, and other differences, affect every aspect of society. The Department of Feminist Studies, with ten core and 50 affiliated faculty members, offers a multifaceted curriculum that invites students to deepen their understanding of diverse women's lives, cultures, and histories in the United States and around the globe.

In 1987, the MultiCultural Center was created out of student demands, along with the support of the larger campus community, for a safer and inclusive community space for students of color at UCSB. With the original intent to facilitate the recruitment and retention of students of color and to combat intersecting systems of institutional oppression and racism, the center has grown, both in its mission and physical footprint, to address myriad social justice issues and take action in pursuit of a more just society.
OBSD is a space dedicated to advance the holistic support of UC Santa Barbara's Black student community - a space where culturally relevant programs and services are created through intentional partnerships that will work together to increase the recruitment, retention, academic achievement, and self-advocacy of our Black student population. OBSD is here to address the needs of the Black student community and provide support throughout their time at UCSB.

Through mentorship, academic programs, one-to-one counseling/advising, campus student support service referrals and social/cultural programming, we strive to maximize a student's involvement and success in the campus academic community. In addition to assisting students through to graduation, EOP helps motivate and inform students to utilize services to enhance their preparation for the job market and/or graduate/professional school admission. EOP focuses on serving those who are income eligible and first-generation undergraduates.
