With over 28 years of teaching experience through her Self Defense programs, Teri “Coffee” McDuffie’s mission is to empower students and project confidence in situations of uncertainty and possible harm. She is known for her particular interest in educating women, children, and families in self-defense through her program, Santa Barbara Women’s Self Defense, and her work at the Coastal Defense Academy. A UCSB alumni, Teri is well-known for her years of involvement in the UC Santa Barbara campus, hosting workshops for residence halls, welcome events, and even sororities in the Isla Vista area.
